FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 4-9-2005

Andy Stern is President of Service Employees Internation Union (SEIU). He also serves on the board of directors of the AFL-CIO Housing and Building Investment Trust, the Aspen Institute and the National Academy of Social Insurance. He is dedicated to energize and grow the organized labor movement so that the current corporate/government class warfare against the best interests of all of us can be turned into societies promoting the best interests of all peoples and the best interests of our total environment. His process gives a strong voice to union rank and file so that everyone can participate in improving their own lot and the lot of society as a whole. His thrust has created an advanced model which is applicable to other labor unions and to all progressive movements for real liberty, for real justice, for an improved environment, for real peace, for moral living and for real prosperity for all. The enemy is not other peoples or other nations or other groups or other beliefs or other economies: the enemy is greed, selfishness, ignorance, superstition, propaganda, war, discrimination, poverty and disease.
