FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 3-5-2005

Better

Nadine Strossen is Professor of Law at New York Law School and President of the American Civil Liberties Union. She teaches Constitutional Law, International Human Rights, Individual Rights Workshop and Advanced Constitutional Law & Appellate Advocacy. She has published more than 250 works including her book, Defending Pornography: Free Speech, Sex and the Fight for Women's Rights. She is the first woman and the youngest person to ever lead the ACLU as its President. She speaks extensively (more than 500 colleges, many foreign countries, TV, national news programs, radio, theatre) and has won numerous awards and honorary degrees. No one is more knowledgeable in the fields of constitutional law, civil liberties, human rights and women's rights. She knows what it would take to get from the shortcomings of today's USA to a real democracy here. If the USA became a real democracy, such a splendor would soon overcome all of the vast shortcomings in most other countries and would become the worldwide norm with a truly United Nations. For knowing what decency in goverment is like and for helping to make it happen, Nadine Strossen has been named Futuresaver of the Week. Click the links below for more information.
