FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 10-9-2004

Better

Baltasar Garzon is the hard-working, incorruptable and highly-principled Spanish investigative Judge who spearheaded the campaign to extradite Pinochet from London to Spain for human rights abuses. He also acted about the GAL death squads in Spain's Basque region, Madrid's crackdown on ETA, Argentine death squads, the Condor Plan of South American dictators to help each other wipe out dissent, Chilean and Argentine genocide and al Qaeda terrorists. In 2003 he created a detailed dossier calling for the arrest of 35 men including Osama bin Laden for 9/11. Instead of the bloody and irresponsible Iraq war, Bush should have been working with Garzon's information and others to find and arrest these criminals instead of becoming a criminal himself. Garzon called the Iraq war "an act of madness" and an "arbitrary unilateral decision". For activating law instead of the madness of war to solve terrorist problems, Judge Baltasar Garzon has been named Futuresaver of the Week. Click the links below for more information.
