Teresa Heinz Kerry is a real pro at doing charity and political activism of the progressive kind. Her primary thrusts are protecting the environment, protecting and enhancing the rights and welfare of children, protecting and enhancing the rights and welfare of women, protecting and enhancing human rights and strong support for the arts. She is the leader of one of the USA's large private foundations. She has worked for the Trusteeship Council of the United Nations. She married Senator John Heinz and has three sons. She lost her husband in a plane crash. She became Chair of the Howard Heinz Endowment and the Heinz Family Philanthropies. She has received numerous awards and honorary degrees and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She married Senator John Kerry in 1995. Teresa and John are both pro-choice Catholics. Teresa is very individualistic, candid, honest, nurturing and wise, characteristics John truly loves. For helping make society more decent, caring and rational instead of more corrupt, criminal and irrational as the Bushies are doing, Teresa Heinz Kerry has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
