Sherron Watkins is the Enron whistleblower who is one of the three whistleblowers named by TIME magazine as PERSONS OF THE YEAR for 2002. She gave two damning testimonials to Congress about Enron's "elaborate accounting hoax." She facilitated the decline and fall of Enron, a proper outcome of the illegal and immoral activities that many corporations engage in. She finally left her $165,000 job. She was the first person to speak out about the arcane and reprehensable practises that Enron engaged in. She is fully aware of her whistleblower status and its glorious feminist roots. Women are clearly good at righting the wrongs of the "good old boys" if they are fortunate enough to have a working conscience and access to true data. She is disappointed at the savage power of greed and denial to deeply corrupt large human institutions. She knows that the USA needs a reformed corporate-governance structure. For blowing the whistle on the top-heavy corporate beast that Enron became, Sherron Watkins has been named Futuresaver of the Week. Click the links below for more information.
