Jose Luis Zapatero is the new Prime Minister of Spain. He made the excellent decision to withdraw Spanish troops from Iraq and to ally more closely to fellow Europeans who are independent of Bush empire building than to those who suck up to Bush/Blair empire building. He was Spain's youngest Member of Parliament in 1986. Zapatero is a moderate, closer to social democracy than socialism. He clearly favors a moderate like Kerry to win the presidency of the USA rather than the warring fundamentalist conservative Bush. Zapatero called the Bush administration "...the most reactionary American administration in recent times." Zapatero is "...for peace, against war, no more deaths for oil..." He is clearly against pre-emptive wars since they are in violation of international law. For promoting peace not war, intelligence not fundamentalism, life not death and real progress not corrupt and polluted progress, Jose Luis Zapatero has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
