Constance Rice is co-founder and co-director of the Advancement Project headquartered in Washington, DC. She heads Advancement Project - Los Angeles, the California headquarters. She has won numerous awards for advancing multiracial democracy and expanding opportunity. She has an excellent legal history in the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and class action civil rights cases involving police misconduct, race/sex discrimination and deficiencies in transportation, probation, public housing and public education. She has led coalitions of lawyers and clients who have won more than $4 billion in relief and damages. She has helped lead numerous other reforms in contracting, environments and schools. She has made numerous appearances on National Public Radio on activist, political and legal topics.
