Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez of California's 47th district has a 100% environmental score for this millenium (2001-2002), according to the League of Conservation Voters. She is a member of the Select Committee on Homeland Security and of The Committee on Armed Services. She is also a member of these Subcommittees: Cybersecurity, Science, and Research and Development; Infrastrucure and Border Security; Rules; Strategic Forces; Total Force. In addition to her excellent environmental record, she has an impressive progressive record on religious freedom, secretly written legislation, undemocratically constructed legislation, pork projects, media ownership, living wages, education, veterans, health care, homeland security financing, corruption in Iraq spending, small business, financial disenfranchisement of hispanics and others, fiscal responsibility, affordable prescription drugs and affordable health insurance, real Medicare, the arts and sciences, global public health, Dividend Voodoo and unfair tax cuts, safety, pension reform, red tape, Head Start and on many other issues.
