FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 11-15-2003

Eric Schaeffer is director of the Environmental Integrity Project at the Rockefeller Family Fund and was director of the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Regulatory Enforcement. When the EPA was trashed by the Bush administration (people protection was lessened, increasing the number of sick people and increasing profits for Bush's rich overlords), Eric Schaeffer resigned and publicized this attack on peoples and environments. This is whistleblowing at its finest in the interest of the finest entities: living humans, the peoples of the USA and the world. The tricky Bush became even more tricky than Nixon, creating an antienvironmental antitruth network of antiordinary people whose bullshit made real people sick while enriching a few criminal corporate pigs (CEO's). For helping protect the USA/world environment when he could, for blowing the whistle on Bush environment wreckers and for working with local communities to protect the public's health and resources, Eric Schaeffer has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
