FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 7-19-2003

Noel Sturgeon is chair of the Department of Women's Studies at Washington State University; is an Associate Professor of Women's Studies and is part of American Studies/Sociology faculties. She wrote the book Ecofeminist Natures: Race, Gender, Feminist Theory and Political Action. She wrote other publications involved with ecofeminism, race, gender, feminism, political action, direct action, environmental action, culture, power, anti-militarism and the women's peace movement. For contributing greatly to the understanding of the relationship between feminism, ecology, race, gender, politics, culture, power, militarism and peace, Noel Sturgeon has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
