John Brady Kiesling is the 20-year career diplomat who resigned from the USA State Department (US Embassy Athens, Greece) in protest over US policy toward Iraq and related items. He also served in Armenia, Washington DC, Morocco and Israel. He knows that the USA government has no credibility or legitimacy in the Arab world. He knows the USA government needs to correct its reality and its image before it tries to go out and save the world. In 1994, Kiesling was one of a group of foreign service professionals presented with the Rivkin Award for constructive dissent. Now his dissent is as contructive as dissent can possibly be. Will the Bushies listen or will they stumble into global disaster? We need something more compassionate than narrow, selfish, crooked, pig-headed American Corporate Profit and Violence to make a better world. For being today's light at the front of the tunnel of death and destruction which may save us from a ghastly future, John Brady Kiesling has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
