George Ryan is the ex-Governor of Illinois who blew the whistle on false executions of innocent "murderers". He pardoned 4 prisoners who were proved innocent and commuted the sentences of 167 death row inmates to life sentences or less to prevent further false executions in Illinois and to help prevent false executions throughout the USA, especially in grossly-run Texas. Eventually the governments of the USA will stop killing innocent victims of pseudo justice. Governor Ryan proved that the USA capital punishment justice system is deeply flawed and requires extensive reform. There is error in determining guilt and there is error in determining who is to get the death penalty. For being the most effective opponent of the USA death penalty and for being the most effective introducer of increased justice into the USA legal system, Governor George Ryan has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
