Maureen Dowd is a columnist for the New York Times. She won the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for distinguished commentary. She was an editorial assistant for the Washington Star; was a Star sports columnist, metropolitan reporter and feature writer. She went to Time magazine when the Star closed. She was a metropolitan reporter for the NYT, a correspondent for the NYT Washington Bureau, a columnist for the NYT Magazine and a NYT Op-Ed columnist - her current position. Maureen also won the 1999 - 2000 Damon Runyon Award of the Denver Press Club. Today's seriously-demented times have made her more serious lately but she still has a great sense of humor. For ferreting out the truth about political chicanery on high and for presenting it to all of us, Maureen Dowd has been named Futuresaver of the Week. Click the links below for more information.
