Bill Moyers is anchor of the PBS hour-long weekly news series NOW. He was born in Oklahoma, raised in Texas, was a cub reporter at 16, has a Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Texas, has a Master of Divinity degree, was Deputy Director of the Peace Corps for president Kennedy, was Special Assistant to president Johnson, was White House press secretary (Johnson), was publisher of Newsday and was trustee of the Rockefeller Foundation. He is author of several excellent best-selling books. He has produced hundreds of hours of excellent public television programming. As guiding light of NOW he presides over the most informative, truthful and humanitarian news series on American Television. He is also president of the Florence and John Schumann Foundation.
