Clyde Prestowitz is Founder and President of the Economic Strategy Institute, the author and coauthor and coeditor of numerous global and national economics-related books and papers, served in the Secretary of Commerce section of the Reagan Administration and has written numerous op-eds and other newspaper/magazine pieces. He had many other positions and activities and is fluent in Japanese, Dutch, German and French. He will publish a new book on how the world sees the US. For growing in common sense, stature and compassion since his stint in the Reagan Administration, for seeing to the heart of the matter of US arrogance toward the other peoples of the world and for revealing needed truths about growing hostility in the world toward US policies and actions, Clyde Prestowitz has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
