FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 7-20-2002

Lauren Regan is a public interest lawyer and environmental law activist. She attended Suffolk Law School in Boston and the University of Oregon Law School. She worked at Bahr and Stotter (Freedom Of Information Act advocates) and opened her own law office. She challenged the USFS Recreation Fee Demonstration Program. She helps activists find legal representation and represents activists in environmental, criminal and civil rights matters. She helps expose illegal acts by government agencies. She knows that power should always be with the people. For helping to make environmental and other justice less rare in the USA, Lauren Regan has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
