FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 7-6-2002

Robin Wright was formerly a global affairs correspondent and is now a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times. She has also been a foreign correspondent for the Washington Post, CBS News, the Sunday Times of London and for the New Yorker (National Magazine Award). She is superbly informed about the realities of the Middle East and has excellent thoughts about how Middle East problems can be solved. She is particularly knowledgeable about the Iranian situation. She wrote The Last Great Revolution: Turmoil and Transformation in Iran, a great book about cultural/political transformation and has written other really good books. She has also had numerous appearances on television. For educating us all about the marvels, perils and other realities of Iran and the rest of the Middle East, Robin Wright has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
