Congressman Mike Honda of California's 15th district has a 100% environmental score for 2001, according to the League of Conservation Voters. He is a member of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee and of its Aviation, Highways & Transit and Water Resources & Environment Subcommittees. He is a member of the House Science Committee and of its Research Subcommittee. He is also a member of the House Budget Committee. In addition to his sterling environmental record, he has an impressive progressive record on education, transportation, hi-tech, open space, health care, public safety, guns, social justice, tolerance, civil rights, human rights, Social Security, Medicare, research and innovation, cybersecurity, veterans, campaign finance reform, energy, affordable prescription drug coverage, tax fairness, science, welfare, childcare, stem cell research, equal pay for women, electoral reform and on many other issues.
