Ted Kulongoski is running in the Democratic primary in Oregon to replace Governor John Kitzhaber who is term limited. Ted Kulongoski has a working class background. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees. He established a law firm in Eugene and began fighting for working people. He believes in worker safety and family wages. He became a State Representative in 1974 and a State Senator in 1978. He was appointed Insurance Commissioner in 1987. He was elected Oregon Attorney General in 1992 by the highest total yet for a statewide candidate. In 1996 he was elected to the Oregon Supreme Court. For having a great environmental record, a great labor record, a great safety record, a great children's record, a great consumer record and a great education record, Ted Kulongoski has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
