Howard Zinn is a historian and professor who tells it like it is in his books, not like whitewashers and blacklisters would like it told. No nasty realities are ommitted. His A People's History of the United States: 1492 to the Present is a real history, not a warped slobberfest. He is also a progressive theorist, social activist, playwright, article writer and compelling speaker. He has won numerous awards and honors. From shipyard worker to honored teacher/author he has always done the right thing. For bringing the truth about America to Americans and to others and for having a vision of the future without the vengeful mass murders of the past and present, Howard Zinn has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
