Congressman Bennie Thompson of Mississippi's 2nd district has an 88% environmental record for 1999, according to the League of conservation Voters. He is a member of the House Committee on Agriculture and of its Subcommitttee on General Farm Commodities and Risk Management and of its Subcommittee on Specialty Crops and Foreign Agricultural Programs. He is also a member of the House Committee on the Budget.
