Chellis Glendinning is a psychologist, author, poet, social
activist, feminist and a pioneer in the field of ecopsychology.
Her two major books are My Name is Chellis & I'm in Recovery
from Western Civilization (1994) and Off the Map: An expedition
Deep into Imperialism, the Global Economy & Other Earthly
Wherabouts (1999). Her articles have appeared in Mother Jones,
the San Francisco Chronicle and Earth First! Journal. She points
out the folly of a planet totally dominated and degraded by
narrowminded and short-sighted human egomaniacs who are also
overpopulation/war freaks. She writes and speaks movingly about
the drawbacks of the technological environment which are caused
by its irresponsible ego-warped and financial-warped
miscalculations. For making us aware of escalating global
environmental disaster and for providing a vision if how we can
work to stop the escalation and save the biosphere, Chellis
Glendinning has been named Futuresaver of the Week. Click the
