Congressman Tom Udall of New Mexico's 3rd district has a 93%
environmental score for 2000, according to the League of
Conservation Voters. He is a member of the House Committee on
Resources and of its Subcommittees on National Parks and Public
Lands and on Forests and Forest Health. He is also a member of
the House Committee on Small Business and of its Subcommittee on
Empowerment and a member of the House Committee on Veteran's
Affairs and of its Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.
In addition to his good record on the environment, he has an
impressive progressive record on legal services, drug prevention,
violence, women's issues, children's issues, health care,
Medicare, Social Security, affordable health insurance,
affordable prescription drugs, seniors, education, campaign
finance reform, veteran's issues, small business, guns, racism,

peace, nuclear weapons, more inclusive presidential debates,
equal rights ammendment, government reform, affordable housing,
safety, minimum wage, School of the Americas, tobacco issues and
