Benazir Bhutto is Chairperson of the Pakistani Peoples
Party and former Prime Minister of Pakistan. The PPP was founded
in 1967 with Zulfiquar Ali Bhutto as its first Chairman.
Zulfiquar (Benizir's father) and Shah (Benizir's brother) both
died because of an undemocratic government. Benazir became the
youngest woman prime minister to lead a Muslim nation. During her
terms as prime minister (1988 to 1990 and 1993 to 1995), Benazir
fought against drug smugglers, arms smugglers and ethnic violence.
She fought for truth, freedom, democracy, the social emancipation
of the Pakistani people and full partnership/more freedom for
women. Benazir became the first leader of a modern nation to give
birth to a baby while serving in office. For being the most
progressive and compassionate leader in Pakistani history,
Benazir Bhutto has been named Futuresaver of the Week. Click the
