Congressman John Olver of Massachusetts' 1st district has a
100% environmental score for 1999, according to the League of
Conservation Voters. He is a member of the House Appropriations
Committee, ranking member of its Military Construction
Subcommittee and member of its Transportation Subcommittee. He is
also Whip-at-Large for the Democratic Caucus. In addition to his
sterling environmental record for 1999, he has an impressive
progressive record on labor, minimum wage, education, Social
Security, Medicare, Medicaid, affordable child care,
