Congressman Robert Menendez of New Jersey's 13th district
has a 100% environmental score for 1998 and 1999, according to
the League of Conservation Voters. He is Vice Chair of the
Democratic Caucus of the 106th Congress, a member of the House
Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and of its
Subcommittees on Aviation and on Water Resources and the
Environment. He is also a member of the House International
Relations Committee and Ranking Democratic member of its
Subcommittee on International Economic Policy and Trade; he is
also a member of its Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere. He
is a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. In addition to
his sterling environmental record for 98/99, he has an impressive
progressive record on human rights, Social Security, Medicare,
fair tax cuts, affordable prescription drugs, children's issues,
education, paying down the debt, labor, minimum wage, small
business, affordable medical care, fiscal responsibility,
immigration reform, transportation, accurate census, affordable
housing, racism, telecommunications, fair trade, campaign finance
reform, safety, consumer protection and on many other issues. For
doing the right thing for all of us and for the Earth's
