Congressman Julian Dixon of California's 32nd district has
a 100% environmental score for 1999, according to the League of
Conservation Voters. He is the fifth ranking Democrat of the
Appropriations Committee, Ranking Democratic Member on the House
Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, member of the
Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense, member of the
Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, State and Judiciary, member of
the Subcommittee on the District of Columbia and member of the
Black Caucus. In addition to his recent sterling environmental
record, he has an impressive progressive record on crime
prevention, civil rights, human rights, legal services,
technology and science, community, education, drugs,
transportation, small business, safety, official corruption,
seniors, medical care and research, labor, police brutality,
family planning and contraceptive services, hate crimes, Kosovo,
gun control, census, internet fees, campaign finance reform,
affordable prescription drugs, foreign policy, AIDS prevention
and treatment, managed care reform, communications reform and on
