Theo Colborn brought to light the serious adverse effects
toxic chemicals/pesticides have on humans. These effects disrupt
normal functioning of the reproductive system, the endocrine
system and the immune system. She and her colleagues gathered
evidence from wildlife, laboratory animals and humans. Effects of
exposure during development are permanent and irreversible. Theo
Colborn co-authored the book, Our Stolen Future, with Diane
Dumonoski and John Peterson Myers. Theo now works with the World
Wildlife Fund. For doing the right thing for all of us and for
the Earth's biosphere, Dr. Theo Colborn has been named
