Congressman Gary Ackerman of New York's 5th district has a
100% environmental score for 1999, according to the League of
Conservation Voters. He is a Senior Member of the House Committee
on International Relations (Ranking Democrat, Subcommittee on the
Western Hemisphere and member of Subcommittee on Asia and the
Pacific), a member of the House Committee on Banking and
Financial Services (Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and
Consumer Credit and Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Securities
and Government-Sponsored Enterprises) and Co-Chair of the Caucus
