FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 10-30-99

Congressman David Bonior of Michigan's 10th district has a 92% environmental score for 1998, according to the League of Conservation Voters. He is the Democratic Whip in the US House and is a member of the Progressive Caucus. In addition to his good environmental record, he has an impressive progressive record on The Patient's Bill of Rights, education, women's issues, affordable health insurance and care for everyone, workers, minimum wage, fair taxation, transportation, foreign policy, peace, civil rights, human rights, student aid, NAFTA, Fast Track, science and technology, multiculturalism, affordable housing, social security, medicare, investing in a sustainable future, creative planning, child care, affordable prescription drugs, violence/safety and on many other issues.
