Congressman Danny Davis of Illinois' 7th district has a 90%
environmental record for 1997/1998, according to the League of
Conservation Voters. He is also on the Executive Committee of the
Progressive Caucus, a member of the Committee on Government
Reform and Oversite, the Committee on Small Business, the Black
Caucus, The India Caucus, the Steel Caucus, the Hellenic Caucus
and is Regional Whip of the Midwest Region of the Democratic
Caucus. In addition to his good environmental record, he has an
impressive progressive record on community issues, health issues,
civil rights, education issues, human rights, housing issues,
children's issues, police brutality issues, welfare issues, child
care, immigration, senior issues, women's issues, labor issues,
social security, science issues, drug issues, medicare, military
spending, corporate issues, economic justice, foreign policy
issues, election reform, affordable housing, better public
