Cecile Andrews, author of The Circle of Simplicity: Return
to the Good Life, has developed techniques to live lightly and
lovingly on the Earth without creating global warming, pollution,
overpopulation and other hazards to a sustainable environment.
She encourages lives that are inwardly rich and outwardly simple.
She is a community educator, writes a weekly column called
Voluntary Simplicity for the Seattle Times, edits the Seeds of
Simplicity's quarterly newsletter, has hosted a Seattle NPR show
and runs/consults with simplicity circles regularly. She has a
doctorate from Stanford University and lives with her husband in
Seattle. She will be a panelist at the Land, Air, Water
Conference in Eugene Oregon in March 1999. She draws inspiration
from many sources including Swedish/Danish educational models,
Native American wisdom and Quaker spiritual practices. For
putting her finger on what is wrong and for creating/implementing
solutions to right the wrongs, Cecile Andrews has been named
Futuresaver of the Week. Click the links below for more
