Kathleen Hall Jamieson is Director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center and Dean of The Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. She is the author of several excellent books on the communicative techniques used in politics, electronic media, the press, advertising, debates and other media. She has appeared as a commentator and communications expert on television and radio programs. She can tell when politicians, advertisers, media, etc are telling something close to the truth and when they are spinning lies and distortions. She knows that big money and narrow interests corrupt political campaigns, politicians and laws. If the average voter could be infused with her excellent savvy, our political and media scene would not be in the sorry mess that it is today.
