Deb Callahan is the President of the League of
Conservation Voters. Under her the LCV is the leading provider of
information about how good and how bad the environmental records
of each of the 535 members of the US Senate and US House are.
They provide information on environmental and anti-environmental
legislation and riders that were passed or defeated. They also
provide information about how the various committees and
leadership structures of the Congress impact the fate of
environmentally significant legislation. They have a Dirty Dozen
campaign to help defeat some of the worst congressional anti-environment
members. They also highlight members with the best environmental
records. LCV represents more than nine million members of
environmental, conservation and sportsmen's groups. Their
political action committee is called the LCV Action Fund. For
helping to educate all of us about environmental politics, for
helping to defeat the worst environmental wreckers in the
Congress and for helping to elect and keep the best
Environmentalists in the Congress, Deb Callahan has been named
