Christopher Dodd, US Senator for Connecticut, has a 100% environmental rating for 1997 according to the League of Conservation Voters. He did the right thing for parks, Forest Service road building, environmentally-destructive mining, American Heritage Rivers Initiative, a boondoggle water project, hazardous siting of a nuclear waste dump and international family planning aid. For doing the right thing on campaign finance reform, on environmental issues, on women's issues, on children's issues, for taxpayers, for family health, for education, for transportation, for working families, for the disabled, for the arts, on safety issues, for research and development, for human rights and on many other issues, Christopher Dodd has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
