I enjoyed looking at the photos you've put on your web site. They each look to be well done portraits of some of the most colorful astronauts in NASA's history.

I wanted to let you know that I found your site extremely interesting. I am a twenty-year-old college student, and the dream of going to space is a fresh now as it was as a child.

Hi, I'm from Brazil and I love to fly.
I'd like to buy a replica of an "astronaut uniform" (the clothes that they use in space) including the helmet...Is that possible? Can I find something like this in some special shop?

I received a wonderful letter from David Obrien who writes about his father, Robert E. O'Brien.
I've really enjoyed your site. My father also worked on these spacecraft. He was a Metallurgist at Rockwell. I can say that I am very proud of him, and wish I could come close to half of what these men contributed to humanity.
I thought I would send you a letter my Father wrote to my grandfather in 1969. It was later published in a local paper.
"As you know, a real milestone in the history of man took place this weekend," Man on the Moon". Can you imagine our anxiety at landing and take- off time? We've done everything we can to build reliable hardware.... but, what about the unknowns we've faced.... and conquered, as I write tonight.
If the event thrilled you , imagine how proud I feel to be even a small part of it all. If the event, to you , was scary, imagine how I and others felt about it. Monday morning, when Armstrong and Aldrin were set to lift off from the moon, I was scared. My knees shook and I prayed!
I'm sure, millions of others did too ! I didn't pray for" mission success"--I prayed for two men who had their implicit trust in the equipment we'd built for them.
" We shouldn't take any credit; we should give it to the brave men who risked the unknown and conquered it. Nonetheless, as a small entity (a part of it ) I'm proud and have the self-satisfaction to realize I've contributed to this success.
Someday , perhaps , in our lifetime, man will conquer other planets. I hope I'm a part of the team effort to contribute to that success. All of us, in our lifetime , as minimal as it may be, should leave behind an effort to further man's destiny. I'm sure in your own mind, that you
feel that you too, have contributed to this success.
Imagine the thousands , if not millions, of World War GI'S getting a college education because the taxpayers of this country wanted it that way. The GI Bill gave me the opportunity, and it was you elders (and taxpayers) who provided us this opportunity.
To sum it up in a few words: Our generation didn't fight the Establishment; we welcomed it.- because we needed help. Philosophy of the young people today is different. Love of Country, seems to them just benign phraseology. "What can I get from our country?" , seems so unimportant to them.
The pendulum will swing soon, I predict, and I'm hopeful that national pride in the Apollo Mission success will contribute to that swing. What greater goals can we have than to help people?
I'm disturbed when I learn and hear of young people criticizing the Administration, the law, the history of America. I believe there is sufficient talent ( born each day) to carry on properly, aggressively and, perhaps, in a much smarter way than we did, to our ultimate goals.
This is the man that I am proud of!!!

Researching "astronauts" on the Internet for a friend's vacation bible school class and came across your site. Thought it was WONDERFUL. Thanks!

Hello, I am a 14-yr. old boy who loves the older space program, your sites wonderful. I was hoping you could send me info/anything on the Mercury/Gemini/Apollo program. Even if you respond it will be cool.

Thanks to people like your Dad, we have memories of events that cannot be equaled in the annals of history. Sure, we'll continue to go into space, and eventually go to Mars and beyond, but WE were the ones seeing it happen first.
I like your dads work. Thank you for both showing it on the web, and describing what you saw. The art of photography is rapidly becoming lost. I had an old 4x5 that I bought at a garage sale for about 10 dollars. I later sold it and financed a year of college. Biggest mistake I ever made. I wish I still had it.

My name is Ronen and I live in Israel, I was looking for pictures from space. I thank you

A very nice tribute to your dad. And you're right, he did some beautiful work.

I looked all through your web pages on the astronauts and I think all of those pictures are great and it is so amazing that the astronauts wrote to your father. I am fifteen years old and I went to space, camp at the Hutchinson space center last year and I am going to level 2 this year. I would like to thank you for those interesting summaries also. I think it would be humbling to see all of the things your father saw.
Thanks, Sarah
Thank You for your page as it has been useful in helping my son do his homework we live in Adelaide
