Componentele de baza ale sistemului sunt:
Filtru de linie
- folosit pentru conformitate cu normele si liniile directoare EMC
Bobina Comutatie
Modul de alimentare (Line supply infeed)
- genereaza tensiunea intermediara de 600V cc si tensiunile de alimentare ale modulelor electronice (5V, 15V, 24V).
Modulele de actionare - alimentate cu 600V cc de la barele de tensiune intermediara, genereaza tensiunea de alimentare a motorului (controlata tensiune / frecventa).

Modul de monitorizare
- folosit atunci cand modulul de alimentare (infeed module) nu poate alimenta toate modulele de control ale actionarilor (e vorba doar de tensiunile de alimentare a partii de control: 5V, 15V, 24V).
Modul de rezistente
- folosit in principal pentru a evita supratensiunile pe barele de tensiune intermediara atunci cand modulul de alimentare nu poate recupera toata tensiunea in retea.
Modul de condensatori
- folosit in principal pentru a prelungi timpul de mentinere a tensiunii de 600Vcc pe barele de tensiune intermediara.

2.2 Module de alimentare

In order to generate the power for the DC link (intermediate voltage) two module types are used:
The infeed/regenerative feedback module (I/R module)
I/R modules and HF/HFD commutating reactors form the step--up converter (7 kHz) for controlling the DC link voltage and enabling a regenerative feedback.
This module is used for the following applications:
Machines with high dynamic requirements placed on the drives
Frequent braking cycles and high braking energy
Control cabinet designs optimized for low operating costs
The module for the unregulated infeed (UI module)
For the UI module, when the motor brakes, the drive energy injected into the DC link is converted into heat in the braking resistors and dissipated to the environment. These braking resistors are either integrated or mounted. When required, one or more additional pulsed resistor modules (PR modules) can be used within the limits specified when engineering the system.
This module is used for the following applications:
Machines with few or short braking cycles, low braking energy
Drive groups with limited dynamic demands, in particular for the main spindle drive
