How to become an Air Dobrudja ag pilot ?
As a general rule, Air Dobrudja trains its own pilots. Selection is
from among young pilots who have secured the Bulgarian State Aeronautical
Inspectorate qualifications. Technical and simulator training for the particular
type of aircraft is carried out in the Bulgarian Civil Aviation Training
Center in Sofia.
The second phase is in Dobrich - theory, company procedures, navigation
and real-life training, carried out with a training captain. This is followed
by a checkflight.
Third phase - trainee copilot with a training captain on practical
commercial flights. Next, the approved copilot proves himself for approximately
1500 hours before becoming eligible to apply for a captaincy.
Training of captains - the most experienced of our copilots attend
courses in the Bulgarian Civil Aviation Training Center in Sofia. Theoretical
agricultural pilot's exam, followed by simulator training. Then come many
hundreds qualifying practical agricultural flights in the company of a
training captain or chief pilot. |
