The God I Know
The God I know is a God of mercy;
He cares for me-though I don't deserve it.
The God I know is a God of joy;
He makes me glad and He will preserve it.
The God I know is a God who forgives;
He takes the burden off my back.
The God I know is a God of love;
He covers me-I never lack.
The God I know is a God who hears;
I know He's there-for I've seen His hand.
The God I know is beyond compare;
His awesome ways who can understand?
The God I know is a God to worship;
He alone is worthy of all praise.
The God I know is a God of glory;
His holiness shines in pure rays.
The God I know is a God of action;
He does great and marvelous things.
The God I know is a God of truth;
He lifts my spirit on holy wings.
The God I know is a God who cares;
He holds me tightly by His grace.
The God I know is a God of patience;
His faithfulness I can trace.
The God I know is a God of goodness;
He gently works His will in me.
The God I know is a God of comfort;
He is my shield and will always be.
