[The School] [The Grounds] [Beverly Hills]

Beverly Hills

School from footbridge

Our school as seen from the footbridge over Stoney Creek Road. This view is somewhat marred by the current intersection widening works by the DMR, but it should be back to normal by mid-year; we hope!

On the positive side, our school will benefit from an impressive new boundary wall, improved parent parking facilities and improved access to the school from the street.

This is also taken from the same footbridge as the previous photo and looks down on the intersection at King Georges and Stoney creek Roads, facing west.

This area gets very busy at times, being the intersection of two main arterial roads. Much of the traffic turns town King Georges road heading north to the M5 motorway, which is actually a major route heading south!

King Georges Road north

This is the main road through Beverly Hills, King Georges Road. As you can see, we even have some palm trees like our namesake in California, but perhaps not quite as many. It is, however, similarly warm and sunny as the clear skies in this photo testify.

This shot was taken facing north. Our school is about 100 metres south of here.

This is also King Georges Road, this time facing south. Our school is just up the hill on the left but cannot be seen from this location.

Beverly Hills Hill

Although not obvious in this photo, this is taken from one of the higher regions of Beverly Hills. As can be seen, it is a residential area with neatly trimmed lawns and tidy streets.

The taller buildings on the distant horizon are in Hurstville, south of this point.

Patriotism is alive and well and living in Beverly Hills. This house is fairly typical of many in the Beverly Hills area (well, perhaps not in adornment but in architecture anyway).

Houses like this survive from the post war forties and early fifties and are of a similar bungalow style, having two or three bedrooms and what is known parochially as a "sunroom".

Of course, we have our fair share of new development also, and there are many houses and apartment blocks built in the modern style.
