Hebrew Mythology Creation Department
Alpha Couple
As the Alpha Couple in charge of the Mythology Burrow,
we'd like to welcome you to the Creation Department
within the Hebrew Library.
Each day of creation had brought forth three things. The
first, heaven, earth, and light; the second, the firmament,
Gehenna [which is why the second day was not pronounced
"good"], and the angels; the third, trees, herbs,
and Paradise; the fourth, sun moon, and stars; and the fifth,
fishes, birds and leviathan [another mythical sea monster
that won't be on the final exam]. Since God wanted to
rest on the seventh day, the Sabbath, he created double the
number of things on the sixth day -- Adam, Eve, cattle,
reptiles, the beasts of the field, and demons. Because demons
were the last to be created, just before the Sabbath arrived,
God didn't have time to create corporeal bodies for them.
Thus, today they are unseen spirits only.
And thus began the mortal soujourn of mankind according
to Jewish legend.

Documents are the next lower level in the Mythology Burrow.
For now, we've setup the following Documents:
Creation: An Introduction
In the Bible, the Book of Genesis contains a brief story of the
creation of the Universe, the Earth, and all things. But is that
the whole story? Check out this Introduction to see. There's a lot
more to the story than you thought.
Creation: Day 1
On the first day, when God
decided to create Heaven and Earth, he found nothing but Tohu and
Bohu ... and darkness covered everything. So he gave light to the
universe.
Creation: Day 2
On the second day, God divided
the Upper Waters from the Lower Waters by placing a crystaline
firmament between them.
Creation: Day 3
On the third day, God assembled
the Lower Waters in one place, allowing dry land to emerge.
After naming the dry land Earth and the waters Sea, he commanded
the Earth to bring forth grass, herbs, and trees.
Creation: Day 4
On the fourth day, God arranged
the sun, moon, and stars in their correct places.
Creation: Day 5
On the fifth day, God created
sea monsters, fish, and birds.
Creation: Day 6
On the sixth day, God created
animals, land monsters, creeping things, and man.
Have a pleasant day!
