From ignorance. From lie. From mental and physical
laziness. From intolerance. From racism of all kind. From mysticism. From
any kind of attitudes of complaint. From fanaticism. Man urgently needs
to break free from all these and from gods conceived according to his own
image.
In the evolving way that humanity is generally
following, it is obvious that we are progressively reaching a higher level
of knowledge. However, we notice the high number still of those who take
advantage of other people's ignorance and laziness, playing with them and
negotiating with lies. We mean not only material but also spiritual ignorance;
not only small daily lies, but specially big lies used in politics and
religion.
Once in a while the world is shaken, in many
different places, by the discovery and evidence of lies told by certain
politicians. Certain religious people make unqualified lies, practise ridiculous
kinds of mysticism and, sometimes, racist and intolerant attitudes remain.
For western man some adulatory attitudes promoted
in Africa, in the Orient and even in some Latin American countries, by
opportunist governors or by entities considered divine, seem ridiculous.
Certain fanatic and crude practices shown in the Middle East or in primitive
mysticism here and there can really be repugnant.
But, curiously, in the western world there
are still liars and corrupt politicians who are difficult to reach by man's
justice. The dogmas of faith and the promises of heavenly peace are still
covers for huge businesses, from small sects to large religious organizations.
It seems obvious that the politicians who
use the interests of the collective group, instead of serving them, are
sooner or later condemned to be discredited.
It also seems evident that religious people
who try to exploit people's gullibility, asking whatever in exchange for
more or less hypothetical benefits, are sooner or later condemned to discredit.
And the common man feels he needs to break
free from all exploitation he has been exposed to. He needs to break free
from a set of conceptions that waste away his potential of fulfilment.
He needs to break free from those gods who reward and punish, who wear
beard or have almond eyes, who name their representatives to forgive sins
or condemn to death those who are unfaithful.
Man feels more and more he needs to follow
his way, on his own, at the cost of his own effort — without political
protection, the benefit of faith, miraculous solutions, or support from
the gods or their representatives, because all these would be against universal
justice.
Man, in general, feels he needs to improve,
to correct himself, to be better and better, and for that he knows he needs
to develop himself in a meaningful activity. He needs to synchronize with
Nature and its laws, which are immutable and rule everything. He needs
to walk towards a more complete knowledge of things, a total truth, a fusion
with the creator of all things, the Universal Intelligence, God.
