Rev. Pieter van Harten, B.A., M.Div.
Rev. van Harten was born in the Netherlands and came to Canada when he was five. He attended elementary and secondary school in Ontario. He
received a B.A. in English from the University of Waterloo, and teaching credentials from Stratford Teacher's College. He studied for ministry at Knox College in Toronto.During his years at Knox he received awards for excellence in New Testament Greek, Preaching and Church Administration. He graduated from Knox College in May 1983 with a Master of Divinity Degree. He was ordained by the Presbytery of Barrie on May 22, 1983.
Pieter served as a student minister at Guthrie, Oro and Oro Station while he was at Knox College. Following ordination he was appointed to St. Matthew's Church in Grand Falls, Newfoundland. Following this apointment he was called to the Tara - Allenford, Ontario charge and then to Paris, Ontario. He was called to Acton in 1995.
While serving these congregations he has been a member of municipal government, school board and library board, as well as director of a senior's home and a police chaplain. Pieter has also been active in the Boy Scout movement.
Pieter and Sharon have been married since 1969. They have three children. Geoffrey is married to Maria and lives in Brampton. They have one daughter, Adriana and are expecting another. Krista is working as a data mining consultant after graduating from the University of Waterloo. Jenn is married to Mike and has a plethora of cats. She attending Queen's University and working in Kington.

Having a love of music he studied at ____________ and received a Bachelor of Music. David was a teacher for X years and has been the Director of Music at Knox for over Y years.
David is the Choir Director for the Chancel Choir, The Joyful Noise and the Cherubs. He is also the Band Leader for the Church Band, and the Church's Organist.
