WELCOME TO MANAGEMENT NOTES

On this page, we share some information provided to us by our consultants and, in general, try to give the reader a feel for some insights we've gained as we searched for writings on our interests. Maybe they are of interest to the reader. We hope so. Maybe the readers will share with us some of their notes regarding something from which they have profited either personally or financially. Either way, we are open 24 hours a day, every day. Contact us, Direct2.

The Importance of Customer Service

One of the most important things in customer service is to let the customer or prospect know you want to serve him/her (no gender reference intended here).

Mary Sweeney has these suggestions:

Communicating that you want to win and keep good customers will pay off. Your time and effort is an important investment in your personal and business life. See our... Business Secrets page for information on how to contact Mary and get more of her expertise on successful communication skills. You might also want to take a look at ideas on a communication framework at another of our sites.

Having and showing a positive and accepting attitude is needed by most persons dealing with the public. It seems they expect that no matter what attitude they show. Ever have that feeling? One can suppose we all have unless you are in a distinct majority. Anyway, we share a note with you from another writer on this subject.

The Impact of Attitude

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important that the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than families, than success, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. the remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. the only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And, so it is with you. We are solely in charge of our attitudes. (credited to Charles Swindoll).

We'll share other management and business jewels as we locate and research them. Let us hear from you. E-mail our offices... Direct2.
