WHAT WE DO IN
LOCAL PARTY SUPPORT

We co-ordinate The Green Party's support of local, county and area parties, including internal communications. We try to ensure that the national party takes account of them in its work. We are the first point of contact for local parties, and offer advice on request.

We edit and publish the magazine Green Link for local parties and activists. It contains articles about local Green Parties' successful activities in different parts of the country. It looks at what you can do, and how to do it. It includes contacts you can use. It is sent free to all local party contacts, and is available on subscription.

We compile the Green Party contacts lists. The lists include contacts and officers of all local, county and area parties, and the latest version of our full Green Contacts list. We publish different parts of that in each issue of Green Link.

We provide financial help for new and relaunching local Green Parties. We have a small budget for vouchers for materials etc., and we have a loan fund, Greenquest, with repayment on easy terms (honest!).

We encourage the provision of materials for local Green Parties to use. These include leaflets, booklets and our video project. You can get them from Greentrade. We need your ideas on what you need, so we can ask the policy, campaigns and elections teams to produce them.

We co-ordinate training for members. We had a successful programme at the Spring Conference in Scarborough. We will run an expanded training programme at the Autumn Conference in Weston-super-Mare in September. We also want to offer such sessions more locally. We envisage training days run by Areas and eventually packs for local Green Parties.

We have a formal LPS job description if you want to see it.
