Here is what Bible talked about vegetarian :
Unlike others in the Folly Bible, Daniel who prefer to eat veggie than "Royal food "( juicy meats and bloody fats) ) Contrarily the Eastern faiths particularly Indian and Chinese religious people who are usually vegetarian. Daniel chooses to eat only vegetables (Da 1:11-16). Christians are not to judge or be judged by diet (Ro 14). But God love aroma food and prefer 1st born animals.
Talking of taking lives or preserving lives, early Adamic religion had done it until today in as in the form of Islamic faith.
The sacrifices of Cain and Abel (Gen 4:4-5) show that the rite goes back almost to the beginnings of the human race. The sacrifice of Noah after the Flood (8:20-21) is called a burnt offering and is closely connected with the covenant of God (9:8-17). In his sacrifices, Abraham (12:7-8; 13:4, 18; 15:4ff.) expressed his adoration of God. The establishment of the covenant between Israel and the Lord was accompanied by solemn sacrifices. The foundation principle of this covenant was obedience, not sacrifices.
Let me confirm this from what Biblicists had researched:
ABEL was Adam and Eve's second son, who was murdered by his brother Cain (Gen 4). Disaffection between the two brothers arose when Cain brought a vegetable offering to the Lord, and Abel brought a lamb. Perhaps God had previously (at 3:21?) revealed that man must approach him with blood-sacrifice.
God accepted Abel's offering because it was an animal sacrifice and or because of the spirit ("by faith," Heb 11:4) in which it was offered (Gen 4:4-5). Thus Abel became the first exemplar of the way of righteousness through faith (Matt 23:35; 1 John 3:12).
How apathetic that the God's creation of man turned to murderous and barbaric on its 2nd generation. The Guinness Book Record would had place the 1st homicide on earth was Adam's sons - Cain and Abel over God's partiality in a sour sibling rivalry over pleasing the Creator's bribery (I mean offerings).
So the Muslims are not wrong if they follow Torah or Mosaic Law - Pentateuch ( 5 Books of Moses) to continue this brutal act of animal's sacrifices. Ancient and enduring tradition teaches that the people on top make the rules. Guys - you follow …
Shalom…
