In Shadowdale

This one's going to be a bit shorter because Gwaihir hadn't thought of taking any notes yet, and Gwaihir also has a hard time reading Landroval's handwriting when he writes short notes for himself (for instance, I have written down "Aringar - 1/2 Drow" but I have no idea who this person is or why we have his name. I think he was one of the people doing the enslaving of the elven children, but who knows?). Also, the characters should all be described on their own info pages, so there won't be much info about them here.

Gwaihir and Landroval arrive in Shadowdale only to find the city abuzz with news of a trio of youngsters who saved a group of elven children from some slavers. The brothers meanwhile visit Alvorin, who says it will take him a little time to go through old manuscripts, and in the meantime we're welcome to stay at his home. We kill time before the big feast (in honor of the three adventurers) by going to a nearby inn for a drink. There, we meet Dorn and his Big Sword, as well as Beren Sendant from Silvery Moon. Dorn sells a cool axe to a dwarf for real cheap, and meanwhile Miranda and Corbin from Archendale are getting themselves outfitted in some kewl clothes for the big feast.

So we have the big feast and a bunch of people give speeches and thank the three adventurers (here's where Dorn gets the nickname "Dorn the Headsman"). After the dinner, the six characters end up sitting around, chatting a bit. We discover that Beren is also awaiting information from Alvorin, for his quest to avenge his master, and that Dorn is hunting an outlaw who is probably in Scarsdale.

The next day, Alvorin gets back to us about our parents. He has no direct information, he says, but there is a sage in Scarsdale who might know something, named Batrice. He isn't sure what race Batrice is, but he was alive hundreds of years ago, so if he wasn't an elf we may be in trouble. So it looks like our way coincides with Dorn's! Then we find out that Beren's information also leads him to Scarsdale. So it's decided - the six of us will go together, for there is safety in numbers in these troubled times.
