The Nasi Lemak is a popular breakfast food with
the Malays and is traditionally served in banana leaves folded in a packet.
Nasi Lemak is also a picnic food. Served with fried fish, a small piece
of omelette, some cucumber slices and sambal, it is a complete meal.
The other dish, the Yellow Rice is served as a complement
to other meat dishes. The saffron used in this dish gives it an aromatic
flavour. Olive Rice is Thai in origin and the Sticky
