NASI LEMAK
1) 2 bowls of rice
2) Coconut cream (best from fresh coconut but the cream from the packet will do)
3) Pandan leaves for flavour
4) A little salt to taste
Condiments
1)Ikan Bilis (anchovies) - fried crisp; or fried fish (traditionally Ikan Tamban is used)
2) Sambal Tumis
3) Slices of cucumber
4) Omelete.
Method.
1)Cook rice in the usual manner - either in the automatic rice cooker or in a deep pot over a stove.
2) Add the coconut cream and pandan leaves (tied into a knot) to the water.
3) Bring to boil until rice is cooked. Break up the rice lumps.
