All "I can't believe we
actually walked all that way!!!" Rob, Greg and Brian
attempt the Marble Canyon Trail in 1980 and get turned
back by incessant rain. "I see why you
suggested the bridge." Creek crossing in the
mountains can be hazardous at best, and deadly at worst. hOne of the many rewards
of working and playing in the outdoors, is the
satisfaction of reaching such a spectacular site as this.
Helmut falls is beautiful, but a more visceral
observation is the feel of the ice-cold water droplets
piercing through pant-legs as we stand near the base of
the fall. No photograph of the 600 foot falls can do that
sensation justice. Here Greg, Lee and Derrick are
enjoying a rest. So much of what we take for granted in
day-to-day life must be reconsidered in the wild. Here,
I'm getting some water with Margaret on a Campbell
Collegiate Outdoors trip. As we look back over the
lake, we can see through the last pass before the
foot-hills. On an outdoors trip taken with both Gull Lake
and Campbell Collegiate, students enjoyed the beauty that
the Lake Minnewanka area had to offer. Even in
Saskatchewan, children of all ages can enjoy the beauty and
splendour that nature has to offer. Press

On
the trail out, the trio encountered this bridge, which
spanned a small stream.

MS actually has nothing to do with this picture but I
don't know if Rob knew what was in store for him when
this picture was taken. The feeling of exhaustion that is
conveyed here by Rob may have just been foreshadowing.
This
photo gives us an understanding of the magic which can be
felt by hikers and climbers in the Rockies. Mount Edith
Caval is a place in Jasper National Park which can give
you this view only a short distance from the car parking
lot.
